The Plimmer's Pilgrimage

It was in the Summer of 2009 when we were starting to come out of the crisis mode, finally having Micah home from the hospital (after being there for 110 days) and proving to be doing well. It's a tough thing to shake, that crisis mode. Trying to take hold of that vision of being a family of the King, loving one another, showing love to other families, worshiping and praying together, encouraging each other in our personal gifts.
We decided we needed some vacation time after being strapped down near the hospital. Jodi had planned to go to Portland with the boys and Timothy was coming out to Boise and we would then drive to Cali to visit his family. We hadn't had time together like that before, so needless to say it was a great road trip. Our plan was to end up meeting Jodi and the boys up at Union Hill in Redmond, WA. While Jodi and I were traveling separately the Lord began speaking to each of us about moving to NC to walk alongside and minister with the Carr family. As we began to look at this crazy possibility we knew it was an opportunity for us and ultimately what we felt was best for our family.
The Lord began orchestrating the details as the weeks went by. We put our house up for sale, knowing that if it was God's plan he would take care of each detail. We planned a trip to visit Wilmington in March to affirm our hearts desire in moving all that way. It was a good trip, we looked at a bunch of houses and I was able to apply for jobs and even had an interview. Wilmington is a big college town, so May is a good month to be moving there. Students are leaving, so jobs open up as well as housing.
Now we are a little over a month away from leaving Boise. God has begun a work in us and we are excited to see it manifest in the months to come.
